The Mourning Dove

The Mourning Dove

Bird Print: Dove, Mourning "Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.” Psalms 55:6  Recognized as a sign of peace and purity, it was the dove that had returned to Noah and his ark with an olive branch to show that land was not far off. At Christmas, the dove is a reminder of spirituality and charity – unless you are a hunter and then it just looks good on a plate.
