    ABOUT THE AUTHOR
    John J. Donnelly
was born in Chicago, Illinois. Raised in central New Hampshire, his early years were spent collecting insects, experimenting with chemistry, and earning an Eagle Scout's badge with the Boy Scouts.

In 1972, a lifelong interest in firearms led Donnelly to purchase a .22 target pistol. Formal pistol shooting followed, and soon he was actively engaged in the mechanics of ammunition assembly.
